Weekly Update Sept 1-9

WELCOME TO FOODS 9!!

This is the place to check out every week for what will be happening in the Foods 9 class.  This page will be updated by Sunday/Monday night.  This page will outline what module work is being completed in class, when assignments are due, upcoming test/quizzes, and cooking labs.  It is very important that you look at this page for important information regarding the class.

As per course outline, students who do not finish their modules will not be allowed to cook until it is complete.  When you are looking on Power School and notice your son/daughter has a "zero" for a cooking lab that was a result of incomplete module work or an absence.  If it was an absence, students are allowed to make those up by completing a home lab.  Students are only allowed to make up 3 home labs per cooking module, as I need to observe students in the kitchen for an accurate assessment of ability.

All students are required to wear an apron while cooking.  If they do not bring an apron, they will lose marks for being unprepared for that specific lab.  Aprons can be found at the Dollarama, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Ikea, and the Kitchen Boutique.
