Weekly Update Sept 19-23

ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE AN APRON.

Students will lose diligence marks (prepared for class) for every cooking lab they participate in without an apron.  Please see course outline for class procedures and expectations.

Importance of aprons:  It is a protective barrier between yourself and the food you are preparing. (protects you from hot grease/hot water)  Keeps your clothes clean.  Many aprons are fire resistance (please check manufacture label).

I have been very impressed with student knowledge and ability in the kitchen. I can't wait to see their amazing products this week!

Monday September 19: Demo; cookies, muffins, and tacos

Tuesday September 20: Lab 2: cookies

Wednesday September 21: Lab 3: muffins

Thursday September 22: Lab 4: Tacos and quacamole

Friday September 23: Measurement Test/Unit one test
