Mr. Salehi

Hi everyone, my name is Mazdak Salehi and I am excited to be starting at Bow Valley High School this semester – teaching Science 9, Math 9, and Math 10C.

I have a Master’s of Science in Geology & Geophysics from the University of Calgary, and two Bachelor’s degrees (BA in Sociology and a B.Sc in Earth sciences) from Simon Fraser University.  Before obtaining my Bachelor of Education from the U of C, I worked as a geologist for almost a decade – mostly in the petroleum industry, but I also work in the mineral exploration industry as a field geologist, I was a course curriculum developer at a college, and a sessional instructor at Yukon University.

I am looking forward to sharing my love of math and science with students – exploring the variety of topics that Math 9, Science 9, and Math 10C present in an engaging manner. I encourage parents/guardians to be actively involved in your child's school life.  I believe when parents and teachers work together, children can be successful in their learning.

• Please visit powerschool bi-weekly so that you are up to date with your child’s assignments, class schedule/timelines, attendance, and marks.
