Weekly Update Feb 1- 5

Welcome to Social Studies 10-1.

My name is Carrie Zunti and this is my second year at Bow Valley High School.  Prior to that I was teaching in BC for many years.  Parent and student communication is very important to me.  All parents will receive an email at the beginning of the semester that outlines my class expectations, course requirements, and how to access my weekly update. As well, I will attach the course outline and any other documents that I find are necessary for you to understand what goes on in the class.  I hope this will be of help to parents and students.

I look forward to our adventure in Social Studies 10-1.

It is expected that all students come prepared for class: textbook, writing tools, computer, and any assignments or discussion prep that is required of them.

Monday February 1: Introduction, course outline, moodle page, website, current events, Introduction to Globalization

Tuesday February 2: Globalization introduction continued. Research.  Mini-assignment Globalization Collage.

Wednesday February 3: Mini-assignment due. Review Globalization.  Start Globalization reading and questions.

Thursday February 4: Text book sign out. Globalization reading and questions.

Friday February 5: Globalization reading and questions (due Monday Feb 8).  Source Analysis Practice.
